i has a... )

And it seems to be working like a charm :-D *does the dance of joy*

Spaces looks cool, but I'm going to have to get used to it (I'm constantly going OMGWTF, where has my window gone ...). Haven't started Time Machine yet - I might get myself a second external harddrive for that (I've read it's recommended). The Quick Look function is great as well - as the new Cover Flow option. It makes me feel a bit seasick at times, and I surely won't be using it all that much, but it'll be quite practical for some situations (flipping through screencaps for example).

Those are the fancy bits, obviously ... time will tell how well the system runs, but I'm optimistic for now :-)

New system

I'm just about to install Leopard now ... I've backed up everything I can think of on my external harddrive - I hope I haven't forgotten anything important, in case my computer decides to go belly up :-P

Wish me luck :-D
Everytime I went to the Outpost Gallifrey News site today, Safari crashed. *scratches head*

Any other mac users have the same problem?
Just downloaded a whole bunch of silly (and mostly unneccessary) widgets. I've now got a Doctor Who Christmas Special countdown, a Doctor Who news widget, a Harry Potter OotP countdown, an amazon.co.uk and an imdb search widget, a Futurama quote widget, Harry Potter news, etc on my dashboard. Oh, and a widget that counts down from 108, and then I have to type in certain numbers. I've always needed one of those ;-P (question is, what happens if I don't type the numbers ...)
Played Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus" with one of my recorder pupils today - she (9) on the recorder and I on the piano. It was absolutely hillarious, it it didn't even sound half bad (I would never have thought that it would sound any good on the recorder, but it does, somehow, and the pupils love it). But I haven't been able to get it out of my head since ...

Also trying to make some School Reunion icons with my new Photoshop Elements 4.0 - still missing a few featuers of my Photoshop 7 that I had on my PC, especially blending mode stuff. On the other hand, I may just not know how do them yet with the new program ...

And Safari has tabs! Yay! (And yes, I should have checked the preferences earlier ... *headdesk*)
